Please join in celebrating the opening of 70Up : New York Women In Their Prime. This exhibit, by photographer Jessica Chornesky, displays more than twenty striking images (accompanied by oral histories) of remarkable women over the age of 70.

The aim of the show is to put forth a fresh, powerful and positive image of women's aging and to underscore the possibilities that await us later in life. The exhibit highlights older women's contributions to society and family. It teaches viewers that our elders are not a separate species but just like ourselves, only later in life.

A reception will be held on May 7, 2003 at
The Museum of the City of New York
1220 Fifth Avenue Between 103rd and 104th streets.
